The Triad Dulcimer Players began in 2010 as a class at
Forsyth Tech in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The students are very
dedicated to playing and learning about the dulcimer. Having excelled at their instruments, they
perform often as a group and several have begun performing as individuals on a
regular basis. Because of the number of
requests for performance, the group needed a name when being introduced. Since the class draws from all over Forsyth
and surrounding counties, they selected the word Triad to represent themselves.
There are now 2 levels of students at Forsyth Tech, with plans for a new class
beginning in February, 2014. As students
are ready to perform, they are invited to join the Triad Dulcimer Players to
make “sweet music” and have loads of fun!
